Reciprocal changes in progression of gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma and pancreatic somatostatinoma

      ). We have cared for a patient with a low-grade mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma of the stomach accompanied by pancreatic somatostatinoma. Here we report that during the clinical course there were reciprocal changes in the plasma somatostatin concentration and the progression of the lymphoma, suggesting an inhibitory effect of plasma somatostatin on the proliferation of gastric MALT lymphoma.
