Double Trouble: A Young Female with Extensive Deep Venous Thrombosis

      A 30-year-old African American female presented to the emergency department with a 5-day history of left-sided leg pain. She described the pain as constant, sharp, and originating in her groin. She denied shortness of breath, recent prolonged travel, and oral contraceptive use. Family history was positive for sickle cell disease and negative for clotting disorders and miscarriages.
