Complete heart block (CHB) is usually caused by chronic myocardial ischemia and fibrosis,
but can also be induced by bacterial and viral infections. The varicella zoster virus
lies dormant in the dorsal root and autonomic ganglia and can be reactivated in the
elderly and immunocompromised. We present a case of varicella zoster virus-induced
Ccomplete heart block.
